M4.125-E40 Photoluminescent Tile Nosing

We designed our Ecoglo® M4.125-E40 Photoluminescent Tile Nosing specifically for tiled stair installations. We combined the classic benefits of Ecoglo®’s step edge definition with our superior slip resistance technology, advanced photoluminescent all-light visibility strips, and Ecoglo®’s great wear resistance. We then integrated our features into a refined and durable anodized aluminum profile to create aluminum stair nosing that offers strength, beauty, and longevity to any tiled stair.

General Information

  • Available in 8ft lengths.
  • Product is sold with inserts unattached. The aluminum extrusion is cut using a saw with a blade for cutting non-ferrous metals. For best results, we recommend cutting inserts with a shear.
  • Inserts are installed into aluminum nosing using a premium polyurethane adhesive (not included).

Aluminum Finish:
  • Available in Clear Anodized Aluminum Finish.
  • Light Bronze and, Dark Bronze Anodize finishes are available at an additional cost.

Tile Nosing Engineered for Durability
  • Manufactured using Ecoglo’s patented process which produces the most durable and highly efficient photoluminescent product available.
  • Unique ridges in the photoluminescent strips protect it from most abrasive wear. They provide slip resistance while still allowing the product to be easily cleaned.
  • The hard-wearing silicon carbide non-slip material is integrally bonded to the aluminum substrate. Thousands of people can walk on it with no signs of wear and tear.
  • The thick anodized finish is aesthetically pleasing, prevents corrosion, and is extremely hard and abrasion resistant. The anodized aluminum surface is harder than pure aluminum, second only to diamonds hard crystalline structure.
Step Edge Safety
  • The color contrasting the non-slip material with advanced photoluminescent technology provides step edge visibility in all light conditions.
  • The unique ridges in the Ecoglo® photoluminescent strips and the integrated anti-slip contrast strips provide all-weather slip resistance.​
For Indoor Use and Outdoor Use
  • Tested to accelerated UV/weathering exposure, and proven to be highly resistant to the effects of UV/weathering.
  • The loss in performance is less than can be detected by the human eye when subjected to 6000 hours of UV exposure, which is similar to 30 years of outdoor exposure.
  • The polymer used in Ecoglo’s patented process is “long chain” which forms a strong UV resistant product when bonding.
