General Information

  • Available in 8ft lengths.
  • Product is sold with inserts unattached. The aluminum extrusion is cut using a saw with a blade for cutting non-ferrous metals. For best results, we recommend cutting inserts with a shear.
  • Inserts are installed into aluminum nosing using a premium polyurethane adhesive (not included).

Aluminum Finish:
  • Available in Clear Anodized Aluminum Finish.
  • Light Bronze and, Dark Bronze Anodize finishes are available at an additional cost.

Metal Stair Nosing Engineered for Durability
  • Our stair strips are the most durable and highly efficient photoluminescent products available thanks to us manufacturing it using Ecoglo®’s patented process.
  • Unique ridges embedded in the photoluminescent strips protect our stair nosing from most abrasive wear – providing superior slip resistance while still allowing the product to be easily cleaned.
  • We integrally bonded the hard-wearing silicon carbide non-slip material to the stair strips’ aluminum substrate – meaning thousands of people can walk on it with no signs of wear and tear.
  • The Ecoglo® team designed the thick anodized finish to prevent corrosion, be aesthetically pleasing, and be extremely hard and abrasion-resistant. The anodized aluminum surface is harder than pure aluminum, second only to the hard-crystalline structure of diamonds.

  • The Ecoglo® team designed our aluminum stair nosing’s non-slip material to clearly contrast with its advanced photoluminescent technology – providing your facility with step edge visibility in all light conditions.
  • The unique ridges in the Ecoglo® photoluminescent strips and the integrated anti-slip contrast slips provide durable all-weather slip resistance.
For Indoor Use and Outdoor Use
  • We tested our aluminum tread nosing under accelerated UV/weathering exposure, during which it has proven to be highly resistant to the effects of UV/weathering, making it the best choice for both indoor or outdoor use.
  • When subjected to the equivalent of 30 years of outdoor exposure – 6,000 hours of UV exposure – our stair strips experience a loss in performance that is less than can be detected by the human eye.
  • We use a “long chain” polymer in Ecoglo®’s patented process to form a strong UV resistant product when bonding.

  • Our aluminum stair nosing is LEED Points qualified – because we care about contributing toward a sustainable future.
  • Thanks to the embedded photoluminescent technology, our stair strips will not consume any energy once they are installed.
