General Information

  • This aluminum stair nosing is available in a length of 8ft.
  • This product is sold with inserts unattached. The aluminum extrusion should be cut with a blade designed for cutting non-ferrous metals. For the best results, we recommend cutting inserts with a shear.
  • Inserts are installed into aluminum nosing using a premium polyurethane adhesive (not included).

Aluminum Finish:
  • Our aluminum nosing is available in a Clear Anodized Finish
  • Dark Bronze and Light Bronze Anodized finishes are available at an additional cost.

Aluminum Stair Nosing Engineered for Durability
  • We manufacture our stair strips using our patented process to produce the most highly efficient and durable photoluminescent product available.
  • The unique ridges in the photoluminescent strips protect it from most abrasive wear, provide slip resistance, and allow the product to be easily cleaned.
  • The hard-wearing silicon carbide non-slip material is integrally bonded to the aluminum substrate – meaning thousands of people can walk on our aluminum stair nosing without it showing any signs of wear and tear.
  • The Ecoglo® team designed our stair strips’ thick anodized finish to be aesthetically pleasing, prevent corrosion, and be extremely hard and abrasion-resistant. The anodized aluminum surface is harder than pure aluminum – ranking second only to the hard-crystalline structure of diamond.
Superior Step Edge Safety
  • We made sure the color of our stair strips’ non-slip material contrasts well with the advanced photoluminescent technology in order to provide clear step edge visibility in all light conditions.
  • Our team designed unique ridges into the Ecoglo® photoluminescent strips and the integrated anti-slip contrast strips to provide all-weather slip resistance.
For Indoor Use and Outdoor Use
  • We tested our aluminum tread nosing under accelerated UV/weathering exposure, during which it has proven to be highly resistant to the effects of UV/weathering, making it the best choice for both indoor or outdoor use.
  • When subjected to the equivalent of 30 years of outdoor exposure – 6,000 hours of UV exposure – our stair strips experience a loss in performance that is less than can be detected by the human eye.
  • We use a “long chain” polymer in Ecoglo®’s patented process to form a strong UV resistant product when bonding.
