The Ecoglo® RF7B-E30 Photoluminescent Anodized Aluminum Stair Nosing is designed to provide stellar visibility solutions to your building while complementing its design. This product provides clear step edge visibility and will accelerate egress speed in all light conditions. Our team designed this aluminum stair nosing with a 90-degree angle so that it can be easily installed over a variety of steps and staircases. Aluminum Nosing Engineered for Durability
  • We manufacture our aluminum nosing using Ecoglo®’s patented process to produce the most durable and energy-efficient photoluminescent egress product on the market.
  • We designed the unique ridges in this product’s photoluminescent strips to protect it from most forms of abrasive wear while also providing stellar slip-resistance. Even with these features, this product can still be easily cleaned.
  • Thousands of people can walk on our metal stair nosing without it showing any wear and tear. We accomplish this feat by integrally bonding the hard-wearing silicon carbide non-slip material to the aluminum substrate.
  • The thick anodized finish of our stair strips is both charming and classy and will seamlessly fit with your building’s design. We also designed this finish to be extremely hard, abrasion-resistant, and excellent at preventing corrosion. The anodized aluminum surface is harder than pure aluminum – second only to the hard-crystalline structure of diamonds.
For Indoor Use and Outdoor Use
  • Our team subjects our anti-slip stair nosing to accelerated UV/weathering exposure, during which it has proven to be highly resistant to such effects.
  • When subject to the rigors of 6,000 hours of UV exposure, which is similar to 30 years of outdoor exposure, the loss in our aluminum stair nosing’s performance is less than can be detected by the human eye.
  • We use a “long chain” polymer in our patented manufacturing process which forms an extremely strong UV resistant product when bonding.

General Information

  • To install Ecoglo® abrasive stair nosing flush with resilient flooring, use adhesive, and mechanical fasteners.
  • Our metal stair nosing comes supplied with pre-drilled countersunk holes for your convenience. This package also includes stainless steel fasteners and concrete nylon anchors. The standard location of these pre-drilled holes is 2” from each end of the nosing and approximately 12” apart.
  • This product is available in standard sizes of 8ft and 10ft as well as cut to length sizes (Tolerance of + or – 1/8”).
  • The inserts for our non-slip steps come unattached but can be quickly installed over the mechanical fasteners using a polyurethane adhesive (included). Inserts can be cut with a shear, while the aluminum nosing can be cut with a saw. WARNING: cutting insets with a saw will damage the saw blade.
  • Weight: 0.586 lbs/ft.

  • Our aluminum stair nosing is available in Clear Anodized Aluminum Finish, as well as Light Bronze, Dark Bronze, and Black Anodized finishes for an additional cost.
