F8-E30 Photoluminescent Flat Stair Nosings

Ecoglo®’s F8-E30 Photoluminescent Anodized Flat Stair Nosing provides stellar step edge visibility and will enhance your facility’s egress speed in all light conditions – improving your facility’s safety, especially when used in conjunction with other Ecoglo® illuminated emergency exit signs products. These illuminated stair treads can be installed on a range of applications, including concrete, timber, steel, tiles, thinly carpeted stairs, and checker plate. Our Photoluminescent Flat Stair Nosings will compliment your building’s design while bringing it up to code at the same time.

  • Our Ecoglo® team designed the color of the non-slip material to contrast well with the advanced photoluminescent technology embedded in the stair strips to provide superior step edge visibility in all light conditions.
  • Superior safety in all weather conditions – we designed unique ridges into the Ecoglo® photoluminescent strips and the integrated anti-slip contrast slips to provide stellar all-weather slip resistance.
Stair Strips Engineered for Durability
  • We manufacture our aluminum stair nosings using Ecoglo®’s patented process to produce the most durable and highly efficient illuminated stair treads on the market.
  • The unique ridges in the photoluminescent strips protect this product from most abrasive wear while providing great slip resistance and allowing the product to be easily cleaned.
  • Our stair strips easily handle the rigors of thousands of people walking on them without showing any signs of wear and tear. This is due to our team cleverly integrally bonding the hard-wearing silicon carbide non slip material to the aluminum substrate.
  • The thick anodized finish of our aluminum stair nosing is aesthetically pleasing, prevents corrosion, and is extremely hard and abrasion-resistant. Our team designed this anodized aluminum surface to be harder than pure aluminum and ranks second only to the hard-crystalline structure of diamonds in structural integrity.
Aluminum Stair Nosing for Indoor and Outdoor Use
  • Our team tested our aluminum tread nosing with accelerated UV/weathering exposure and have proven the product is highly resistant to the effects of UV/weathering – perfect for outdoor use.
  • When subjected to 6,000 hours of UV exposure, which is equivalent to approximately 30 years of outdoor exposure, our abrasive stair nosing experienced a negligible loss in performance that cannot be detected by the human eye.
  • We use a “long chain” polymer in Ecoglo®’s patented process to create a strong UV resistant product.

General Information

  • Install Ecoglo® anti slip stair nosing using polyurethane adhesive and mechanical fasteners or using adhesive only.
  • Our metal stair nosing comes supplied with pre-drilled countersunk holes, stainless steel fasteners, and concrete nylon anchors. The standard location for the countersunk holes is 2” from the end of each stair strip and approximately 12” apart.
  • Our non slip steps come in our standard lengths of 8ft and 10ft, and are also available in cut to length sizes (Tolerance + or – 1/8”).
  • Inserts can come attached or unattached. However, we recommend unattached for on-site cutting. Inserts are easily installed with a premium polyurethane adhesive.
  • Weight: 0.479 lbs/ft.

Aluminum Finish
  • Our aluminum stair nosing is available in 6063-T5 Aluminum, Mill Finish, or with Clear or Black Anodized Finish (Anodized to Type 2m Class 1. 20 microns thickness).
  • Also available in Light Bronze and Dark Bronze Anodized Finishes for an additional cost.
