General Information

  • Install Ecoglo® stair strips using polyurethane adhesive and mechanical fasteners, or with adhesive only.
  • We supply our aluminum stair nosing with pre-drilled countersunk holes for your convenience, as well as concrete nylon anchors and stainless-steel fasteners. The standard location for the holes is 2” from each end and approximately 12” apart.
  • Our anti-slip strips for stairs are available in cut to length sizes (tolerance of + or – 1/8”) and standard lengths of 8ft and 10ft.
  • The anti-slip inserts are supplied unattached and can easily be installed over the mechanical fasteners using a polyurethane adhesive – which we include. Inserts can be cut using a shear, while the aluminum nosing should be cut with a saw. Warning: Cutting inserts with a saw will damage the saw blade.
  • Weight: 1.132 lbs/ft.

  • Ecoglo® aluminum stair nosing is available in a Clear Anodized Aluminum Finish, as well as Black, Dark Bronze and Light Bronze Anodized finishes for an additional cost.

  • Thousands of people can walk on our aluminum stair nosing without showing signs of wear and tear due to our team integrally bonding the hard-wearing silicon carbide non-slip material to the aluminum substrate.
  • The Ecoglo® design team designed the thick anodized finish of our metal stair nosing to be aesthetically pleasing, prevent corrosion, and be extremely hard and abrasion-resistant. The anodized aluminum surface is harder than pure aluminum – second only to the hard-crystalline structure of diamonds.

  • Our team designed our stair strips’ non-slip material to heavily contrast with the aluminum base in order to provide your facility with excellent step edge visibility.

  • We subjected this aluminum stair nosing to accelerated UV/weathering exposure, Salt Spray Resistance, Freeze-Thaw Resistance, and Washability. The RF5-N30 easily passed every test with excellent results.
